Just needing a bit more time in the day to deal with everything going on for you?
I know I have, & the past few weeks have been pretty testing to the point where I just wanted to run away & hide under my duvet until it all goes away.
Life’s not like that though, the world doesn’t stop.
But here’s the secret I’ve learned over the past few years… you can stop for a little while by doing more.
“What? You’re making no sense, how can I do more when I’ve just said there’s too much going on?”
You can do more of the things that help you to take a step back, put things into perspective & make you smile even in the times of sorrow, fear, unknown, overwhelm (insert your feelings here).
What works for me & I’ve made sure that I’ve created time in my schedule for it over the past few weeks to keep me balanced are:
• Morning meditation (even just 5 minutes when I wake up)
• Saying out loud what I’m grateful for each day
• Setting an intention to live my day (mainly been “take one step at a time”)
• Being honest about how I feel & accepting those feelings for what they are
• Stretching ( I think I may have been a cat in a previous life)
• Speaking/messaging/meeting friends & family to share support & love
